If you drink, and God bless your soul if you don't, you should be able to make a few cocktails. Now you're in our wheelhouse. Between the two of us, we've probably logged ten years behind the bar (most of them Brian's), among the various disreputable means in which we've earned a living. And by cocktails, we don't mean Red Bull and vodka. The following section outlines the tools you'll need, the booze and mixers you'll want, and the recipes for some classic and some contemporary drinks you'll swear by. Remember, you don't have to know how to make them all, but you should know a few. Practice on yourself, with two aspirin and plenty of water.

Home Bar: Two New Drinks for the Fall
We are in the middle of a renaissance of cocktail culture. If you like to drink and like experimenting with new and different recipes, now is a great time for you. Be Better Guys always advocate having a good drink from time to time and offers two new cococtions, courtesy of the bar staff at PS 7's Restaurant. Both of these drinks were presented as part of the Caution -- Men Cooking! classes co-hosted by BBG and PS 7's. Both are really simple, with easy to find liquors. All you need is a reason to make up a batch. We're sure you can figure that one out.

Home Bar: Cachaca
One of the best parts of the new age of cocktail culture we’re in is that many liquors are being introduced to American palettes for the first time, along with new cocktails. The average guy knows Brazil for Carnival, soccer, “The Girl From Ipanema,” Gisele Bundchen (nice work, Tom -- sorry about the knee), and a certain technique in grooming. If that’s the case, then let Be Better Guys be the first, but not the last, to talk with you about cachaça.
