BBG: What do you do and how did you get into your current line of work?

AS: We are in charge of manufacturing and selling men’s undergarments. Our company is called O by Analisa and Cyn and the garments are made from an extremely soft fabric called Modal. We have blended Modal with Cotton and Lycra to get the softest, sexiest, most durable underwear a man can own.

AS: I used to love working at Victoria’s Secret. I love underwear and really believe it has the ability to make someone feel sexy if it’s the right fit and fabric. When Cyn came up to me with the idea of making luxury underwear for men, I was really excited because men don’t have the massive amount of choices the way woman do.

BBG: What things or people inspire your personal style?

AS: I like things that look sexy, yet sophisticated. I’m a big fan of tight things that are solid in color. I like tops cut in a creative way and I generally like jeans or white pants. I also really liked the way Jennifer Aniston was dressed in The Break Up. She looked extremely sexy while still looking professional.

BBG: That's good, but what about for guys, what do you like?

AS: Oooh, off the top of my head, a guy like Matthew Fox's character, Jack from Lost. He's really handsome, very smart, he's the confident man. Plus he seems like he's got an inner bad boy, which I like!

BBG:  Do clothes make the man or do manners make the man?

AS:  Manners make the man. Everyone deserves common courtesy and I cannot stand men who are rude or feel they are superior to other people. Clothes cost money and for some men it’s a harder standard to live up to. However, manners are internal values; you can't buy good manners.

AS:  Not really. I don’t like to judge people based on how they look. I’ve dated guys with very sophisticated, corporate-looking styles. On the other hand, some of the guys I have dated more seriously have been fans of jeans and t-shirts. (I do think the funny, dirty shirts are hilarious) It’s all in how they wear it. That being said, I do like a guy who bathes. 

BBG: So you don't care about what guys wear, but you run a men's apparel company. Isn't that problematic?

AS: I run a men's underwear company. Like I said, its what's underneath that counts. Plus there's something so sexy about a man whose underwear peeks out above his pants. If he's in his "nice" boxers, its the equivalent to me of a woman wearing a lacy black g-string on a date.

If I had to choose between manners or clothes, I prefer manners more. I can't fault a guy who can't afford expensive clothes and the latest trends in designer brands. I do like men who look clean though, so clothes are somewhat important.

BBG: What sort of behavior do you see too much of and what would say to young men about it?

AS:  A lot of guys lack confidence. I have male friends who are wonderful guys and are afraid of talking to the ladies for fear of rejection. If a girl says no, it’s not the end of the world. At least you tried right? I love men who are confident.

BBG: What unique tip(s) can you give a guy to help make him a better guy?

AS: Don't take life too seriously. I like men who laugh at life. Be confident and dress the way you feel looks good on you. If you are comfortable in what you wear, it will show. Choose your own personal style, there’s nothing sexier.

BBG: What makes a guy stand out? 

AS:  Any guy who can put a smile on my face is always worth talking to further. Any guy who can partake in my dirty, offensive sense of humor stands out in my mind. There aren't a ton of guys out there who can.

BBG: If you could do one thing, anywhere in the world without constraints, what would it be?

AS:  Shark cage diving in South Africa, I want to see Great Whites swim ten feet from me. 

BBG: If you could have a conversation with one person, who would it be? 

AS:  I would love to have dinner with Warren Buffett. I think he’s an unbelievably altruistic person and I admire him for what he has done with his life. I would like to follow in his footsteps and use the money I make in business to help people and the environment. He’s a very kind-hearted soul and I would love to talk with someone so compassionate.

BBG:  What’s your favorite room in your place? Why?

AS:  My bedroom because I don’t spend a lot of time there and its where I go to relax at night.

BBG: What do you do for fun?

AS:  I love to go hiking in the Berkeley Hills. On clear days you get a great view of the Bay Area and I love looking at the Golden Gate. I enjoy skiing up in Kirkwood, rock climbing, and boxing. The latter involves me and a punching bag nowadays, but am always down for a good sparring session. And of course, wrestling with my two-year old Lab. (She usually wins!)

BBG: What's your favorite band?

AS:  It would have to be the Rolling Stones. They have such different styles of music and they have lasted through generations. A close second though is the Foo Fighters.
