 Dressing well and looking like a seriously
classy guy is more than just owning nice clothes and having them
well-tailored. You have to know when and how to wear those clothes so
that you look right and proper every time you step out of your place.
Something that, say, Turtle from Entourage hasn't quite
mastered. And the thing about life is, there are certain events that
happen to all of us that require a certain look in order to be
appropriate and correct and not a knucklehead – the job interview, the
wedding, sitting courtside next to Marv Albert (Oh, I’m sorry, did I
just put a run in your stockings, Marv?)
Some of these events are
joyous and celebratory, some are stressful and nerve-racking, some are
just inevitable. Be Better Guys has been through ‘em all (except the

yourself more like an A-Lister and less like Kevin Federline.

The envelope comes in the mail. A wedding in the Hamptons, a Bar Mitzvah for your neighbor's son, or your wife’s office is taking everyone to the opera for the opening night for La Traviata. Or maybe it's the company holiday party. At the bottom of the invitation in discreet cursive type face, reads the words “semi-formal” or “formal.” That, my friends, means you get to channel your inner James Bond and break out the tuxedo. But what’s the difference between the semi-formal and formal and does it matter for you, especially if you’re considering buying a tuxedo for the occasion? |
