You shake hands, you hold hands, and
so simply put, your hands see a lot of work. The next time you're in a
business meeting, take a moment to look at the hands and fingers of the
other men at the table. It will surprise you how many guys focus on
wardrobe, hair, even grooming, but neglect their hands. Follow these
basic guidelines, and you will no longer be one of those guys.Neatly clip your fingernails weekly. This means you need to have nail clippers.
There's nothing wrong with using an emery board on your nails. In
fact, it's encouraged. If you don't, that's fine, but be sure to trim
any sharp edges. All scratching should be done intentionally and with
consent; Manicures: We
encourage you to get a professional manicure a couple of times a
year. They're inexpensive (about $15), take about half an hour,
and will make your hands look better than you can.Remove dirt from under the nails
with the file attached to the clippers. Clean your nails with nail
brush when you shower. Don't use your business card, a paper clip, or
your teeth.
Use lotion on your hands daily. Keep some hand lotion at your desk. Dry, cracked knuckles are simply not sexy.
Do us all a favor and stop picking and biting your nails. They're not food. |
