Brian
Joyner, co-creator of Be Better Guys, spent a great deal of time (money
and other people’s patience) trying to figure out what he wanted to be
when he grew up. Now that he’s arrived (depending on whom you ask), he
smiles at how much fun the trip was. He absorbed the lessons he learned
from family, friends, and through observations in the service industry
and used them to craft his personal take on style and how life is.
Throughout it all, Brian figured that regardless of what you do, you
should look and act the way you wanted to be perceived. Since he’d
already been giving this advice to anyone willing to listen, it
seemed natural for him to partner with David Boris to develop Be Better
Guys.
Currently,
Brian's a writer and historical researcher, and has been an
IT tech, an office manager, a bartender, and a singer. He's published
books for the National Park Service and fictional short stories through
online literary journals. Years ago, he and David played together in a
band and David still owes him money for the songs that he "borrowed"
later. "Maybe when Be Better Guys takes off, he [David] can pay me the
royalties he owes me."
