Watching “Charlie’s Angels 2: Full Throttle” the other day—no, not with Farrah, Jacklyn, and Kate, the other one—the scene where Natalie is dancing to “Let’s Dance” by Donna Summer at her high school reunion (We won’t remark on the anachronistic use of disco theme song for an early 90s HS graduate), reminded me why guys love Cameron Diaz. It was the pout, then the smile, the totally flirty, playful sexuality that comes across so easily. From “T he Mask,” to“Something About Mary,” to “Very Bad Things,” “The Gangs of New York” Diaz gives us eyes, smolder, and often, humor.

Diaz was a model at 16, attending high school in Long Beach –she went to school with Snoop Dogg, aka Calvin Broadus—before landing the role as Tina Carlyle in The Mask at 21. From there, she hit movies hard and guys’ hearts even harder. The German-Cuban-Anglo child of California flashed the baby-blues and gorgeous smile to great effect, while showing a deft touch with comedy. For a minute, she was at the top of everyone’s Hottest Woman list, dating everyone from Matt Dillon to Jared Leto. She was hot and heavy with Justin Timberlake for several years and cracked the $20 million/role club.

After some time in the wilderness (In Her Shoes and What Happens In Vegas anyone?) between stints as Princess Fiona in the Shrek movies, she’s back, in “Bad Teacher.” Still knocking ‘em dead with her looks and smile, she also has found a new romantic interest in Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez. Yet another Yankee All-Star, scooping up the hotties. Damn them! And don’t judge me about Charlie’s Angels! It was on cable while I was in the gym! Really. . . .
