most folks are like “Oh horsesh–!  You’re 35 man!”  Love that.  Now I’m fortunate that I’m not particularly grey so that helps.  But what really helps is my face cream that I used because my wife brought it home from Whole Foods and I was out of whatever free sample stuff I get from the grooming supply places that give Brian and I free stuff to try and write about.

So this review is about a product I actually pay for.  Oh sure I’ve tried gallons of free face cream and lots of ‘em are pretty good.  But it’s the Avalon Organics stuff I buy and use.  Why should you care?  Because the thing that’s gonna pull you back from the disaster brink of your lifestyle of too many Grey Gooses and soda and staying up ’till 2:45 am every Sunday morning and not sleeping enough during the week is decent face cream.

Good face cream helps to keep your face looking younger – period.  Avalon Organics succeeds because they use loads of natural products instead of synthetics (which inevitably dry your face right out) and load up on Vitamins C and E.  This matters because it encourages your own skin to generate its own elastin production.  So it gets your skin cells working for you.

It’s somewhat heavy but not too heavy (if you’ve ever used your girl’s Ponds cream you know what heavy feels like).  You use this stuff twice a day – once after your shave and shower in the morning and once after you wash your face at night with a good cleanser.  Your girl will want to use it too so just look at it as a luxury you need to afford – at $20 for 2 oz it’s steep.  But it lasts; my wife and I go through a container about once a month so for less than $1/day I get wonderful compliments from folks who can’t believe I’m a day past 33.  Ok 35.

Oh and one more benefit – Whole Foods distributes the stuff so you can get it easily since Whole Foods are now everywhere.  You can pay for cheaper stuff.  Or you can splurge on something that makes your first impression better even though you live a lifestyle that should have you looking 70.  Go for your face-wingman and get this face cream.
