I travel a lot for work. And when you get up in the morning, put on a dress shirt, go to the airport, sit on a plane belted in for 3 hours,
then emerge from the cabin for a meeting with a key customer halfway across the country, what you don’t want to look like is that there were no actual seats on the plane so you took it upon yourself to scamper up into the overhead bin and nestle in there until you arrived. No. You want to look crisp, neat, ironed - together. I have three Brooks Brothers Non-Iron Dress Shirts and here’s a fact: they’re all I wear when I travel. So repeat customers of mine are like, “Yo, David, aren’t you making enough money from me buying stuff from you that you’d go buy a new shirt? Didn’t I see that one on you last month? And the month before that?”
This is the shirt I want for travel. Or frankly for general everyday use. Sure, I own a few custom shirts and a few from Thomas Pink. They’re my flashier shirts. But the Brooks shirts are my workhorses in my closet. They unfold well from a suitcase if I didn’t fold them particularly carefully while packing at 5 am in the pitch black. Hang ‘em up in the closet overnight and most of the wrinkles have disappeared. Most, I say. You may have to iron them if you ball them up before you fly but if you’re reasonably careful, the iron never leaves the closet.
Best of all – there’s a bunch of ‘em on sale right now for half price. Grab ‘em quick and if you’re late to the game, Brooks does this all over again on December 26th. Pick up a few French cuffs and a few barrel cuffs and see if they don’t become your go-to shirts, traveling to another city or just to the office.

Great suggestion. These are perfect.
