It’s Summer, a
nd nothing says so as much the sight of women in sundress and sandals, walking around as carefree and comfortable as can be. With straps; without straps; cap sleeves; crossover top; scoop neckline; back out; back covered. Patterned; solid; multi-colored; just plain white. Cotton, always cotton. But maybe linen or silk. Like picnics, fields of wild flowers, tree swings, and lemonade, it’s a sign of the season.
Chances are, your lady or some woman you know was wearing one over the holiday weekend, looking fine and effortless. We at Be Better Guys are fans of women. So anything that celebrates them, we support. Sportswriter and man-about-town, Bomani Jones initiated the idea of June being Sundress Month. Every now and then, an idea so simple and obvious, yet so powerful, comes to the fore. Of course June is Sundress Month! It’s as obvious as the nose on your face.
So, join BBG as proud supporters of Sundress Month.
Let me just say that I rode the Metro in DC for the first time in months and what a surprise it was to look up and see tons of women in sundresses and other skimpy-wear (definitely NOT office-ready but they can come work in my office any day). Like it was March a week ago and now it’s truckloads of women looking cute. Love that. Made me smile and made my day a better one. Thanks gals.

The month is in full effect. Seen dozen of women earning them. Beautiful. Not to mention the two BBGirls wearing sundresses in their profiles (Rosario and Brooklyn).
